Freezer Burn
Tuck me away in
the back of your mind
to forget me.
I'll stay for as long as
you need,
talking to icicles,
your perverted form of
therapy.
From those girls I learn
about what I'm soon to be:
our coating cold, the insides
old but our flavors
sweet.
Ripe
Hugging his trunk
in the backseat
of my
Car
Music, generic and
daring undertones
to draw him
in to
Listen
I kiss an ear; it was
near my mouth
soft, like dried mango
slices and sweet like
rotting fruit
Primal.
Dirt pressing into the
cloth seats beneath
his knees
The clock on my
dashboard
runs a
whole
hour
slow
